Location: Austin, Texas TEXAS MUSIC MUSEUM. The Texas Music Museum is a nonprofit organization established in Austin in 1984 as part of the Texas Sesquicentennial Project. It includes an archive, a museum, and a variety of exhibits on the history of music in Texas. Emphasizing the great cultural variety of Texas as reflected through the state's music, the museum "conducts research, collects photographs, artifacts, and documents relating to all aspects of Texas music and provides exhibits to other museums, schools, libraries, history centers, and other public facilities throughout the state...
