Built in 1959 as a meeting place for German singing societies in the area, Saengerhalle made the easy transition to honky tonk dance hall in 1996. The original charm of this historic building was restored though renovation of the original sign and by hanging historical photos and literature on its walls. The sound system, facilities, and air conditioning / heating systems were all upgraded, making it a great place to see music in the heat of summer or the coldest day in winter. Favoring country and Americana acts, Saengerhalle can fill its 10,000 square feet of dance floor or support local young talent though its open mike nights.
